Born on the Island of Guam and raised in the Inland Empire of Southern Cali, Joey “Deploi” Lopez studied in San Diego, then migrated North to LA. Deploi was introduced to Brew in 2001 by Anthony “Kanetic” Stout and Anthony “Dialtone” Roberts while performing at Club Lush. at the time Deploi was in a hip hop group named, Loaded on Arrival with Kelley Mak & Dialtone. They asked Brew if they could sit in with the House of Vibe that night and from that moment on, Deploi not only “sat in,” he “sat down” and has been real comfy as a member of HOV ever since!
His musical background quite simply is the streets. His accomplishments? Although he has rocked the stage with the likes of Chali 2na, Res, Fishbone and other heavy hitting touring acts Nationally and has done quite a bit of commercial work with Beacon Street Studios, he feels the best is yet to come... so be on the lookout ‘cuz as a homie once said, “When your name is ‘Deploi,’ you’ve just got to LET IT GO!”
