When Shaunte Palmer, long time fan of HOV was asked by the bands very own “Man in Black” (Brew) if he’d like to come down, he knew that The House of Vibe played great music. Since then, he and his horn have been striving to “up the ante” with well-timed melodic responses, whenever and wherever it’s appropriate. Formally trained in voice and trombone, he has lent his talents to artists such as Sublime, Raphael Saadiq, Talib Kweli, Kurt Elling, Bonnie Raitt, Eek-a-Mouse, Cuban Legend Francisco Aguabella and Jazz Legend Gerald Wilson. In addition to HOV, you may see Shaunte perform with Hillsyde, Cava, Miles Mosley, Zoux, Whitton, Matt Roberts, Ebony Voices, Critical Brass and The Translucent Ham Sandwiich Band. Shaunte plays a Getzen Trombone Model 1050 and currently resides in Los Angeles.
