T. SMIDI...

Terry “T. Smidi” Smith is HOV’s resident “jack of all trades.” Besides being an old soul vocalist, and an accomplished producer/singer/songwriter (T. Smidi has placed and scored music on television shows such as BET’s “Beef, the Series’” “Next Level with Vince Young” and in movies like the recent, “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”) he is also responsible for SMIDIVISION, the multimedia company that not only built this website but provides HOV with much of their artwork, as well as the video diary he maintains for them online. Musically, Smidi came up with his cousins Kenni Ski and Allen Anthony as part of the camp of soul singers that gave you the Hip-Hop edged, R&B duo, Christion out of Oakland, CA that was signed to Rocafella Records in the mid to late 90‘s. T. has written, produced and sang with them for many years.
Like many of the other members of HOV, he came to know Brew from The Toledo Show at Harvelle’s Night Club. Shortly after Brew began playing for the band, Smidi was admiring a young lady in the back parking lot of the club. When he pointed her out to Brew, his response was, “If you take all them kids with you, you can have her!” You see, as it turned out... that young lady just happened to be Brew’s wife, Jamie.
T. Smidi is in the final stages of his second recording, “Full Disclosure,” his labor of love of the past few years. He hopes to release the project the Summer of 2010.
